What is DOT LED? How Does It Work?

DOT LED our models DMX512 is an alternative to the DMX RGB bar LED products mentioned in our article. In fact, you can think of each independent piece of 16.6cm in DMX RGB bar LED products as a separate dotled. The only numerical difference is the shape. Bar LED is a linear product, but dotled has a point appearance. We produce both series for light animations.

They are basically programmable LED elements. Here we accept each 1 DOT LED = 1 Pixel. We determine the number of LEDs in each pixel depending on the light intensity. How many LEDs are in each pixel, they all light up and go out in the same way. In other words, since a pixel will receive only one RGB signal, they will all light up in the same colour. As the number of LEDs increases, the Lumen value and therefore the Lux value will increase. More intense light will occur.

Let's examine our 50 cm 18 led DMX product in the example above. Look here, each 16.6cm piece is 1 pixel. There are 6 LEDs in each pixel. Here, each independent piece is equal to 1 DOTLED. (There are different product options. Here we have examined this product as an example). If you are not going to use RGB bar LED in your project, you can also use DotLED. DMX512 operations are exactly the same. You can even make light feasts that move according to the music.

Model DOT120:

You can use it to give pixel effect in facade designs. You can also prefer it indoors like our other products. It is of high quality with its polycarbonate injection structure. It is also easy to install. DOT120 model is 12 cm in diameter.
